A Poem for Dad.

As I sit here at my little work desk in Palm Desert I am drawn
to the beautiful "Memory Heart" that my sister Jodi willed into
existence in memory of our Father. It is a beautiful piece that contains,
within it's heart, many of Dad's little knick-knacks....precious reminders
of the man who was so special to all of us. I am grateful to him, my Mom,
my sisters, and the entire family, for the countless blessings that have been
bestowed upon us. In celebration, and gratitude for Dad's life I have written
a poem, inspired by the Memory Heart, and would like to share it here,
with love, and in the spirit of Eagle Eye.

                   Memory Heart


           Speak to us oh Memory Heart.
     Tell us a story of who You are, where You've gone,
                 and what You have become.


              So that we will always remember.


         You exist in the stillness of Your heart and soul.
              A warm and peaceful reminder of
              "Our Father Who Art In Heaven."
       Your energy "entwined" here within Your heart. 
                Empowered, free and speaking
                             Your truth.


       Your message of love and what we have learned
                               from You
     Show us the way, guiding us in spirit and love from
                               Your heart.


               We "see" health, wealth and abundance.
                    This is Your truth and the gifts
                                   of You.


          We "hear" joy, laughter and the songs of belief
                                in Your heart, 
                                 and it is one.


              We "feel" warm, beaming smiles of energy,
                           vibrations of love and
                                       sharing.


                 We "honour" Your generosity of heart
            giving, caring and expecting nothing in return.


                 We "appreciate" Your unspoken truths.
         Words not said... but felt ... and gratefully understood.


                    We "admire" Your courage of trust,
             belief of universe, Your universe, so beautifully

        as we know it now, as it was then, and as it always will

                       We are conscious, aware, inspired and
                                               free.


              We are "appreciative" and grateful for Your life;

                 The gift of our lives, in love, honesty and in
                                          happiness.


                  We "need" to let go as the past is done,
                 the present, the future of our opportunity,
   as You would have it, full of consciousness, awareness and
                                               hope.
      
                      We "will" carry on Your legacy.                     
                     Peaceful, harmonized and grateful,
              like the fresh bloom of the white gladiolus,
         we celebrate all that is beautiful in this bouquet of
                                                life.


            Thank You "Dad" from the bottom of our hearts.
                       We are "blessed" by You.

Verse 13.

Through the inspirations of my spiritual mentor Dr. Wayne Dyer,
I have undertaken this year, (as he did in 2006), the teachings of the
eighty-one verses of the "Tao Te Ching." Legend says that the "Tao"
(pronounced "Dao") was written by the prophet "Lao-tzu" some five
hundred years before the birth of Christ. The interpretations of the words
Tao is "The Way" Te is "The Shape and Power" and Ching is "The Book."
It has been called "one of the profoundest books in world philosophy."
For my references I have been studying the interpretations and teachings of
Dr. Dyer from his book "Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life."
In the spirit of Eagle Eye, here is my inspired (poetic) interpretation of
Verse 13.

                       Independent.


            The independent mind seeks,
                           not that,
                  the opinion of others,
                    but it's own truth;
                    Eternal, essential,
                 and perfectly aligned...
      Nourished, and in balance with it's "Way"
                            Devine.
           Flow freely, independent Source.
                Trust in the invisibleness,
          and the beauty of the immeasurable,
                               within...
                         the inner soul.
                 Every passionate thought,
                                is Spirit,
          in harmony with the uniqueness of
                              it's nature.
                 Honour the independent...

           in the invisible world of
     energy, essence, and conviction.

The mysterious Centre,

A subtle energy of knowing....and understanding,
that without it's Centre, there is no
Self.
Like the human body, a complexity of all it's parts,
it does not become it's physical;
without it's Central essence,

from the middle of itself.

Practice patience, so that everything,

has the ability to reveal itself,
in the REALITY of,
"Your Own World."
Believe... Totally;
In the Trust You have in,
"Your Self."
Allow the rest,
the the time and space,
to ebb and flow,

"Itself."

Living The Wisdom of The Tao.

Verse Nine.

Through the inspirations of my spiritual mentor Dr. Wayne Dyer,

I have undertaken this year, (as he did in 2006), the teachings of the

eighty-one verses of the "Tao Te Ching." Legend says that the "Tao"

(pronounced "Dao") was written by the prophet "Lao-tzu" some five

hundred years before the birth of Christ. The interpretations of the words

Tao is "The Way" Te is "The Shape and Power" and Ching is "The Book."

It has been called "one of the profoundest books in world philosophy."

For my references I have been studying the interpretations and teachings

of Dr. Dyer from his book "Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life."

In the spirit of Eagle Eye, here is my inspired (poetic) interpretation of

Verse Nine.

                                        Humble.

Humble knows, 

when enough...is enough.

The gentleness of a humility from deep,

within;

An understanding, of a life;

Lived... 

More;

With less.

It's wisdom, 

a knowledge of alignment and balance,

in this precise moment.

Trusting;

that who you "truly" are, 

is ALL you really need.

Like the cup that is full;

Humble, within itself,

feeling no need to be,

"Overfilled."

It is content, with all that it has.

Do not listen to the noisy needs, 

of the EGO world...

Never satisfied.

Let go, quietly;
Release all fears,

and seek pleasure in the humility that is,

the infinite state of;

Grace.

Living the Wisdom of The Tao.

Verse Eight.

                                Flowing.

Life sustaining. Flowing, like water.

It moves, with (all) things;

Providing, nourishing, and knowing,

it's place in Nature. 

Present, and in harmony;

Pure in it's existence, 

it flows,

seeking it's own level of truth, 

and understanding.

Going, without judging, or concern;

It flows.

Gentle, kind, equal, 

and in accordance with "the way."

Knowing it's intended place, and purpose.

Open-minded, and receptive to it's, 

Calling.

Like the spring run-off of a distant mountain;

it's energy is free... to simply;

Flow.

Bear witness to it's beauty.

The peaceful allowing,

of thoughts, actions, and love;

Flowing,

without effort,
through you;

To others.
