Living The Wisdom of The Tao.
Verse 39

Through the inspirations of my spiritual mentor Dr. Wayne Dyer,
I have undertaken this year, (as he did in 2006), the teachings of the
eighty-one verses of the "Tao Te Ching." Legend says that the "Tao"
(pronounced "Dao") was written by the prophet "Lao-tzu" some five
hundred years before the birth of Christ. The interpretations of the words
Tao is "The Way" Te is "The Shape and Power" and Ching is "the Book."
It has been called "one of the profoundest books in world philosophy."
For my references I have been studying the interpretations and teachings of
Dr. Dyer from his book "Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life."
In the spirit of Eagle Eye here is my inspired (poetic) interpretation of
Verse 39.

                                    Whole
              Live whole, and humble.
                    Your universe in harmony,
                       without fear or stumble.

                 See things clearly, and as one.
                        Everything connected,
                            and already done.

                  For to live a life, full and whole.
                          is to be in balance,
                       and to know your role.

             Feel the energy, from your very source.
                      And maintain the path,
                       of your chosen course.

           For who you are, your heart and soul.
                           Is only right...
                     when you feel whole.

Living. "56." Inspired. 

Wow!... Can it be??... 56 Years in this physical vessel
called my body... Heartfelt thanks to my beautiful, loving, 
and nurturing Mother for bringing me into this world 56 years
ago today!

I am so blessed.. and so very grateful for all the wonderful gifts
in my life. Especially my lovely daughter Jessica who is, and will
always be, my greatest love.... and ongoing source of inspiration. I am
also so incredibly fortunate to have so many friends, family, and loved
ones who are always there for me... Thank you all so very much.
I love you... and am so fortunate to have you (all) in my life.

As I contemplate the next year of my life I look forward with great
anticipation to the road ahead. My journey of awareness, consciousness
and discovery is at it's highest point, and I am genuinely excited about all
that lies ahead. The previous "55" have been a great learning experience,
filled with many lovely memories... and as the old saying goes... "life is viewed
through the windshield...not the rear view mirror." So here's to trust, staying
present, and allowing (unconditionally) for my universe to unfold in front me...
exactly as it should.

                      Your True Nature


                  It's within your nature to be good;
             A truth told quietly, it is best understood.


                  For to act without a sense of self;
      it becomes your greatest source... and sense of wealth.
               
               To give without condition, or concern,
         a truth of love.. that asks for (nothing) in return.   
           
           The highest of kindness, your greatest virtue;
        a trust of heart... that shines brightly through you.

                 Who you are, and supposed to be;
           Your Nature... as one, at peace and... free.

50th birthday. Jodi is a special person in so many ways 
and has touched a countless number of people during her
lifetime. Today our family will hope to return the favour.
Thank you Jod's for everything you do, for who you are, 
and for who you inspire us to be...

In honour of your special day your brother has done his best,
to capture his thoughts, in this little poem that I gift to you below.

Rivers Inlet (In Pictures)

Following up on the week that was... I was also
able to capture some amazing photos of whales as well.
Including one incredibly close up, that arrived right 
beside me (unannounced) and certainly got my heart
racing. Fortunately my camera was near by and I was able
to take a couple of beauties before he left. 
Truly majestic creatures!

As I continue to bask in, and pour over, the amazing pictures
I was able to take this past week at Rivers Inlet, I am still amazed
at the majestic beauty of the Eagle.... and how strongly it resonates
with me. Below is a poem that I wrote some time ago, along with
some of my very favourite photographs of this most inspiring creature.

                              The Eagle
          
                     May you carry the vision of
                              the Eagle Spirit.
                          The strength to soar
                             on Eagle's wings;
          and the belief, courage, and wisdom,
                                          to Fly;
                                high, graceful...

I am back home and still basking in the magic that was
my week at Rivers Lodge in Rivers Inlet. As this was to
be my last trip to the Lodge, before it closes it doors, I was
filled with many feelings, emotions, (and especially gratitude) for
the 25 years of memorable times that I have been blessed to experience
over these many years. This (last) trip could not have been more perfect...
The eagles, the whales, the weather... and of course the
fabulous fishing. The ocean was calm, the winds light, and a
warm and lovely sunshine caressed this most humble week as we celebrated
a kind of beauty (that I believe) is unmatched anywhere on this earth...

I would once again like to thank the Ardley family... Pat, Casey,
Jessica, and of course George (who I felt all around me this entire
week)... for such a wonderful way to close this most beautiful chapter.
Thank you for all the years of incredible memories... I am blessed
to have known you... and appreciate you coming into my life.
It has changed me in the most profound way.... and for that I will
always be grateful.

Thank you to Daniel (Mr. Chocolates) and his good friend No No
(from Belgium) for making this week so special... and so much fun.
I know you share in my emotions around the uniqueness of this most
special place. I would also like to thank Angie and Jamie for sharing
this with us as well. It was great to spend this time with you... and you
are a lovely young couple. I wish you every success (and happiness) in
your life together.

As I say my final good bye and close this wonderful chapter in my life
I cannot help but feel so blessed... and so fortunate for (all) my gifts.
Rivers Lodge, Rivers Inlet, the Ardleys and all the wonderful people
who's path's I have crossed over these past 25 years... Thank you...

Farewell....old friend.

Live. Rivers Inlet. Inspired.

I am just packing up to make one last final trek to Rivers Lodge
in Rivers Inlet B.C. I have been blessed over the past 25 years to
have had the opportunity to share in many adventures with family,
friends, business associates and loved ones in this most magical of
places. For me just "being" there... and observing nature.... the whales,
eagles, salmon and the incredible synergy that resonates so deeply
within me (in this very spiritual place) is what draws me back each year.
This season marks the last one in the long and rich rich history of the
Ardley family and their beautiful hideaway "Rivers Lodge." George,
(who we lost far too soon to cancer) his wife Pat (who has continued to
operate the Lodge over the last number of years) and their terrific children
Casey and Jessica have always treated me like family...and for that I am
eternally grateful. They will be closing the business for good at the end
of this year.

It is with mixed emotions that I embark upon this trip for the last time.
I intend on immersing myself in the rich history, and the many wonderful
memories that I cherish so fondly from the past 25 years. This next week
will all be about feeling free, taking it all in... writing, taking a lot of pictures,
and a bountiful gathering of many of my thoughts... (and emotions) for all the
blessings of this beautiful place.

I look forward to sharing some of that here, on this blog, when I get back.
So here's to a wonderful return, for one lucky man, to the place of his source,
and the true beginnings of my "Eagle Eye Spirit Works" inspiration...
