Living The Wisdom of The Tao.
Verse 37.

Through the inspirations of my spiritual mentor Dr. Wayne Dyer,
I have undertaken this year, (as he did in 2006), the teachings of the
eighty-one verses of the the "Tao Te Ching." Legend says that the "Tao"
(pronounced "Dao") was written by the prophet "Lao-tzu" some five
hundred years before the birth of Christ. The interpretation of the words
Tao is "The Way" Te is "The Shape and Power" and Ching is "The Book."
It has been called "one of the profoundest books in world philosophy."
For my references I have been studying the interpretations and teachings of
Dr. Dyer from his book "Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life."
In the spirit of Eagle Eye, here is my inspired (poetic) interpretation of
Verse 37.

                          Simply


     Keep things simple, and sense the calm.
           Bite your tongue, zip your lips,
                and find nothing wrong.


      Do nothing... yet leave nothing undone.
               Living quietly and simply,
                  your universe as one.


         Replace desires with calm intent.
                Trusting in nature,
                for a life well spent.


         Peaceful and free, the simple life.
                observing and believing,
                  a world without strife.


   Allowing "The Way" to beautifully unfold. 
         Without interference or judgement, 
             the real truth, is "simply" told.

                       Obscurity


            Discover the wisdom of obscurity,
   and eliminate the competitive ego from your life.
          Reflect the gentle soul that lives within,
  knowing that it matters not that you must always win.

       Understand the opposites of a material world,
       and become an astute observer to the means.
       A path less travelled, where less... is more,
   the light of truth, shining brightly at your spirit's core.

  Remain obscure, outlasting those who strive to be seen.
        Give up your need to be revered by others,
          and take your place behind the scene;
  to that beautiful place where you know you've always been.
        
          Strive to know a oneness in your mind
 by withdrawing yourself and allowing others to the front.
       For the real truth, and the balance to endure,
   is to remain in the background... quiet and obscure.

                Understand, the truth that lies,
                     beyond the worldly pleasures.
                               A place not seen,
                      but felt, and known to be pristine.


                      A Source of beauty, and of balance,
                          beyond the worldly pleasures.
                          Where listening cannot hear,
                   for it is peaceful, tranquil, and free of fear.


               Sense this place, of bewilderment and wonder,
                          beyond the worldly pleasures.
                      where nature's purity ebbs and flows,
                  the energy of love and trust, it simply goes.


                       Explore the joy, the happiness within,
                            beyond the worldly pleasures.
               And practice in gratitude with no need of measure,
                          a life beyond the worldly pleasures.
