Live. Inspired. is a collection of my own creation. It speaks to "how" I have been choosing to live my life each day. A conversation with, and for myself actually. When my true inspirations are attached to that which I intend, I feel the Universe "opening up" to a whole new world of abundance, opportunity, and discovery. And by sharing my inspirations here with you...it makes me feel good too!

Live. What's On My I-Pod. Inspired.

How do I choose to Live. Today.
How do I listen to What's On My I-Pod. Today.
How will I be Inspired. Today.

I have always had a great love of music. Despite my
inability to carry a note, sing a song on key, or play any kind
of musical instrument, I (non-the-less), have always found
music to be inspiring, motivating, and moving. I have recently
completed a great read on the biography of Apple and I-Tunes
founder Steve Jobs, and in the book he mentions that you can
tell a lot about a person by What Is On Their I-Pod. So I have
been inspired to take a look at mine, and in the spirit of the...
I Am that I Am.... here's a look at mine, and how it tells of
places, times, and a story about myself.... and What it is....
that is On My I-Pod.

The Beatles....
Quite simply the best there ever was. As a little boy their music
was, and still is timeless..... It reminds me of my first love of music as
a very young man... right down to the Beatle haircut!

Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, Jackie Wilson, Marvin Gaye,
The O'Jays, The Spinners.
The smooth R&B Motown sounds of happy times. Foot tapping,
finger snapping, body twirling, love that music... kind of time.

America, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Doobie Brothers,
England Dan and John Ford Coley, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor,
Jackson Browne, Seals and Crofts, Three Dog Night, Hall and Oates,
Tears for Fears.
Songs and music with meaning, purpose, and messages to change
the world. Instruments, lyrics, and melodies that are simply not written
like this anymore.

The Who, Led Zepplin, Creedence Clearwater, Grand Funk Railroad,
INXS, The Doors, Journey, Santana, The Rolling Stones, Prince, U2.
Hard rock, big sound stadium bands who's huge music lifted the masses
with their powerful messages and uplifting spirit. Rock on!

The Average White Band, The Brother's Johnson, Chaka Kahn,
Chic, Evelyn Champagne King, KC and The Sunshine Band, Sylvester,
The Bee Gees, Sister Sledge, Patrick Henandez, Tavares.
Disco baby! and so many memories of one of the happiest times of my life.
Dance, dance , dance... Platform shoes, high collared shirts, and gold chains
baby... Oh yeah, looking, (and feeling) good! The music was just innocent and
fun! It's got a good beat and I give it a 95 Dick!! (Clark)... American Bandstand!!

Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Lighthouse, Tower of Power.
Probably my fav's of all the bands. It's all about the horns, and all these bands
simply do it the best!. One of my favourite memories was the concert I attended
with my closest friends, on the occasion of my 50th b-day, front row, Chicago
and Earth Wind and Fire, together on stage, with all the horns combined, sounded
like music from heaven. I will never forget it.

Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt, Carol King, Gloria Estefan,
Janet Jackson, Oleta Adams, Adelle, Patti Labelle, Sade, Whitney Huston.
My favourite gals. Heavenly voices that rock this world. The all have that special
gift. They take you away, and I love the journey. Like warm maple syrup, their
voices capture the imagination and we are left to simply enjoy.... the beautiful
gift of their most amazing instrument. We are blessed to have lived in this...
"their time."

Phil Collins, Boz Scaggs, David Gray, Don Henley, Jack Johnson, Sting,
John Legend, Seal, Simply Red, Van Morrison, Paul McCartney,
Billy Idol, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton.
These are the boys on my A-list. Incredible talents, all these artists are simply
timeless. All their music, will always sound as good today as they day that they
produced it. Long live the boys, and may they always continue to make their music
and make our world a better place for having shared it.

Philip Bailey, Darryl Hall, Elton John, Steve Perry.
My four all time favourites. These four fella's (for me) have "the most" special of
gifts.Their vocals are unique, and powerful, each in their own inspiring way.
If forced to choose it would be a toss up (for me) for MVP. I would find it hard to
choose, because their voices and styles are very different, so I'm going to share my
tie for first between Philip Bailey and Steve Perry. Two of the most incredible
vocalists to ever "Sing a Song!"

Barry White, Billy Paul, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass.
Turn down the lights, put on the candles, open that bottle of wine, and cozy
in for a romantic evening with the ultimate in baby-making crooners.
These guys ooze romance, love, and never turn down the heat with their soulful
sounds. Spiritually healing, this music is fireplace and warmth every time you
turn it on!

Michael Jackson.
Two words. The King. The best that ever was... and the best that will ever be.
Music.. Movement.. and Dance... purely...Genius. Words cannot describe how his
music has changed the world. His music "is"... the healing voice of the world.

Bruce Springsteen.
The "Union" of Rock and Roll. For everything that is true, he is the single most
powerful voice of all things... Red White and Blue!

Bachman Turner Overdrive, The Guess Who, Gino Vanelli, Trooper,
Celine Dion, The Bare Naked Ladies, Michael Buble, David Foster,
Sarah McLachlan, Tom Cochran, The Tragically Hip
So for me, it makes me so proud to be, from the True North Strong and Free!
Great talents, amazing gifts, and it simply doesn't matter where they're from....
Eh!

Oneness Becomes You "Angels" Meditations.. Deborah Atianne Wilson.
A beautiful collection of meditation music inspired for the spiritual realm
that inspires peace, balance, and oneness of self and spirit. It is a huge part
of my life... and I practice on it every day. Calm and free... a beautiful place
to simply "be."

Silent, Sacred, Holy, Deepening Heart... Em Claire.
The beautiful, and talented, poet Em Claire shares her poetry "in voice"
in this beautiful collection of her most amazing work. Spiritually gifted,
with a heart so true her work is both soothing and mesmirizing. Her
incredible talent for the spoken word is the gift of angels.. and she is a
blessing all on her own.

These are the contents of What's On My I-Pod... So I guess this is... the
Am that I Am.... well at least in my own particular love for the music that
I enjoy and that Inspires me. I am blessed to have Lived in this time. The
music conjures up so many memories, places in time, happy times, sad times,
but all in all... a story of life... My life.... and I am so incredibly grateful.

Live. Inspired.

Ray Paul
